The OSU Monthly Campaign Update tracks progress toward our $1 billion campaign goal, celebrates successes along the way, and, above all, showcases the impact philanthropy makes on OSU students, the state of Oregon, and our world.
At the October 22 OSU President's Dinner, university leaders announced that donors had pushed The Campaign for OSU past its original $625 million goal with nearly a year to spare. The campaign will continue through 2013 with a new goal of $850 million to advance OSU's drive to be recognized as a leading international research institution.
The final phase of The Campaign for OSU will focus on investments that support three core areas of distinction described in the university's strategic plan:
• Advancing the science of sustainable earth ecosystems
• Improving human health and wellness
• Promoting economic growth and social progress
Excellent students and faculty are critical to advancing these goals, and developing the resources to recruit and retain these scholars will be a primary focus of the remainder of the campaign.
At the dinner, leading members of OSU's philanthropic community celebrated the enormous impact of private support on the university, its students, Oregon, and the world. Learn more about the impact to date of The Campaign for OSU.
