The 2012 year closed strong for Oregon State University with $19.9 million in campaign gifts in December, bringing the campaign total to $887.9 million toward our $1 billion goal. Learn more about campaign progress.
Campaign progress continues to track well against last fiscal year, one of the university's best fundraising years to date. In the first six months of 2012-13, donors contributed $45.6 million, just a bit less than last year's total of $45.8 million.
In addition to an exciting seven-figure gift which will be announced soon, one key to the month's success was the University Venture Development Fund, described on the Impact page (see also the "12 Gifts of December" at right).
Gifts to OSU's Annual Giving program (gifts of less than $25,000) are also up about $850,000 from this time last year. Of those gifts, the average gift amount is 12 percent greater than last year. This is an important marker in relation to our commitment to helping donors engage in meaningful ways with the university and subsequently increase their support over time.
