From majestic scenery to a mild climate, Corvallis, Oregon, is a beautiful place to live and work.
Incorporated in 1947, the Oregon State University Foundation dedicates itself to garnering the resources that enable OSU to achieve excellence in education, research, and outreach.
Our Vision
The Oregon State University Foundation is a trusted and highly effective partner in advancing OSU’s land grant mission of learning, discovery, and engagement through efficient and strategic use of the Foundation’s relationships, expertise, and resources.
Our Mission
The Oregon State University Foundation strengthens the University’s capacity to broaden access to high-quality higher education, push the frontiers of knowledge, contribute to Oregon’s prosperity, and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the state and the nation. It does so through advocacy, fundraising, investment management, and stewardship and as the IRS 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation charged with receiving and administering private gifts for the University.
All fundraising and investment activities of the Foundation are limited to benefiting Oregon State University. The Foundation assets and earnings are distributed to colleges, departments, and programs of the University per donor directions or, if funds are unrestricted, per the direction of the Foundation's volunteer Board of Trustees in response to priority requests from the President of the University.
The Campaign for OSU
Propelled by an outpouring of support from more than 60,000 households, OSU has raised the goal of its first comprehensive fundraising campaign to $1 billion. Through the unanimous vote of the OSU Foundation Board of Trustees, the historic Campaign for OSU will continue through 2014, increasing support for Oregon State students, faculty, and programs.
Setting a billion-dollar goal places Oregon State in remarkable company: only 29 of the nation's 672 public universities have completed campaigns of this size, while 35 universities, public and private, are currently committed to campaign goals of $1 billion or more.
To help make this vision a reality, we seek dynamic individuals to join our team. The OSU Foundation offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits. And on top of that, Corvallis is ranked as one of the top 10 college towns in America.
The core organizational values that guide our work are:
- Civility – the daily practice of respectful and thoughtful interaction with co‐workers, donors, volunteers and all other visitors to the Foundation
- Teamwork – open and collaborative communication, direct dealings, commitment to and alignment with organizational decisions
- Continuous Improvement – welcoming new ideas, focus on sustainability, and commitment to excellence
- Productivity – hard work, goal orientation, achievement, success
