Helen Hansen exemplifies the passion and dedication of Beaver Nation. A season ticket holder of four OSU sports, Helen and her late husband, Gene '49, have contributed a steady stream of gifts to OSU Athletics for more than 30 years and established an endowed scholarship for baseball and football. Helen is a leading volunteer for the Beaver Athletic Student Fund, recently winning the Most Inspirational Fund Drive Worker Award. She co-founded the Corvallis chapter of Altrusa International, and she and her late husband are well known in the community for their extensive contributions to American Legion baseball. From 1948-49 Helen worked in OSU's Department of Visual Instruction. A member of OSU's William Jasper Kerr Society, she has four grown children: Bob Hansen '60, Eric Hansen, Gary Hansen '75, and Karen Oldfield '83.
