Destination OSU 2011

Destination OSU 2011 was a wonderful time of reconnection and celebration as more than 200 alumni and friends met in the California desert February 28 and March 1.

This annual gathering, in its 11th year, featured a golf tournament at the Mission Hills Country Club, presentations by OSU faculty on the ecology and management of forest fires and on the benefits of young adults delaying adulthood, plus an awards gala honoring four extraordinary friends of Oregon State University:

• Samuel C. Wheeler ’50, recipient of the Lifetime Trustee Award
• James G. Youde ’62 and Judith Atwood Youde ’62, recipients of the Dan Poling Service Award
• Norb Wellman ’54, recipient of the Martin Chaves Lifetime Achievement Award
