More than 110 alumni and friends from OSU’s inner circle of investors attended the April 8 President’s Circle reception in Corvallis. Following an update from President Ed Ray, senior gymnast D’Anna Piro spoke about the difference her athletic scholarship had on her life. A double-major in Business Administration and Exercise and Sport Science in the University Honors College, Piro also is president of OSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
“At Oregon State I have been surrounded by people who support and believe in me,” she said. “I want to say thank you for helping make my experiences here possible. I hope you know the difference that you make, especially in times like these. I really cannot express my gratitude enough.”
