Jaclyn Jacobs Rusch '51

Jaclyn Jacobs Rusch ’51 was the first woman to earn a food science degree from Oregon State. Her scholarship in the Department of Food Science & Technology currently benefits students like senior Anna Spatafora, and her estate will benefit faculty in the department as well. For many years, her father worked with the department head at the time, Ernest Wiegand, on maraschino cherry production, and she knows her father would be pleased that she is enhancing the department of his good friend.
