Holders of endowed faculty positions at OSU include: David Trejo (Hal Pritchett Chair In Construction Engineering Management), Lisbeth Goddik (Oregon Dairy Industries-Bodyfelt Professor; Paul G. and Sandra A. Arbuthnot Professor), and Jonathan Velez (Terence Bradshaw Leadership Academy Professor).
Building on the overwhelming success of the Provost’s Faculty Match Program, a second phase is now underway and will run through June 30, 2013.
The Provost’s Faculty Match Program provides a financial incentive to donors to create faculty endowments that support the priorities identified in the university's strategic plan. Funded by the OSU Provost's Office for $2.5 million over five years, the program has the potential to leverage more than $10 million in private support for OSU faculty.
"The Provost's Faculty Match program and the donors who participate in it are helping us build a faculty that will advance the university's areas of distinction, provide high quality education to a growing and diverse student body, and enable us to make progress toward our vision of becoming a top-10 Land Grant university," said provost and executive vice president Sabah Randhawa.
Through the program’s first phase, donors established or expanded 22 endowed faculty position funds with commitments totaling more than $21 million.
