Protecting Animal and Human HealthThe College of Veterinary Medicine is dedicated to improving the health and welfare of animals and people, by providing clinical care, diagnostic services, a high quality veterinary education, and breakthrough research. The college is responding to some of society's most serious health needs -- testing and researching such diseases as avian influenza, mad cow disease, and West Nile virus; working with public health officials to ensure a safe food supply; and partnering with ranchers to improve livestock health.
Building on the momentum of a recent expansion, the campaign provides the college with tremendous opportunities to reach new levels of excellence to benefit animals and people in Oregon and worldwide.
