Donors to Oregon State University provide essential support for vital academic programs and initiatives. The OSU Foundation has developed three special recognition programs to honor these dedicated supporters and celebrate all they have done for OSU.
Donors who have made substantial contributions over their lifetimes are honored in the 1868 Society, named for the year that the legislature passed OSU's charter creating Oregon's first state-supported college.
The President's Circle recognizes committed annual donors to Oregon State University who make outright gifts or pledge payments of $1,000 or more during a given year.
Alumni and friends who have remembered Oregon State University in their planned giving are recognized in the Benton Hall Society. It was named after the first building on campus, constructed in 1887 through private gifts.
