• My family: Spouse Alan, sons Ian (4) and Charlie (4 months).
• In my spare time I enjoy: Reading, attending sporting events, especially Beavers, Mariners, and Seahawks; traveling and cooking.
• A highlight of my year: The birth of our second son. He is healthy and well. He is already prepping to cheer on the Beavers and is learning to do the OSU chant from his brother (see below).
• My favorite thing about OSU: We provide an education that is high quality and is great preparation for healthcare studies. I found that my baccalaureate education in the sciences at Oregon State more than prepared me for my nursing program and nursing master's degree far beyond that of my peers in the program (and I wasn't even a science major). Having some great sports teams (basketball, football, baseball, crew) isn't bad either!
• If I've learned one thing in life it's this: I am very blessed. I live each day as it comes and am thankful for every day I get with my spouse and children.
• Why I joined the Women's Giving Circle: I wanted to be able to have a say in how my gifts are being used to help other women at Oregon State University reach their own personal goals.
