When Steve Boice, ’04, learned that Apperson Hall was up for a complete remodeling job, he understood why. “As a student I spent all day in that hall,” he says. “I can remember the squeaking floors, the crooked beams, the uncomfortable desks.”
The “real world” focus of his OSU education led Steve to an internship with a national transportation planning and engineering firm, and a great start on his career. This fall, he made his first gift back: $250 to help transform Apperson into a state-of-the-art facility for the students who come after him.
“OSU gave me so much, it’s good to give back,” he says. “One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that you do what you can. When people work together, a little goes a long way.”
